Using AI for the benefit of the environment and the fight against climate change
Since its creation, CEIMIA has moved forward with projects oriented on climate action, using AI as a catalyst to fight against climate change and preserve biodiversity. These efforts build upon the foundational work of the Responsible AI Strategy for the Environment (“RAISE”) roadmap launched at COP26, which provides an action-oriented set of recommendations for policymakers to develop climate action strategies.
In addition to the RAISE, CEIMIA continues to deepen its work on challenges like the environmental impacts of AI compute and applications, and develops AI guides and tools for key industries to support their net-zero transition. These action-oriented recommendations have been well received by leaders worldwide.
